Inner Peace Counseling, LLC
Allison Torti, CAGS, LMHC,LCDP
Allison brings twenty years of both mental health and substance abuse experience to her practice.
Starting off in community mental health has prepared her to treat patients with a duel diagnosis, bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, and other serious and persistent mental illness. While working in community mental health, she also worked closely with local police departments to educate and work alongside them when assisting those with mental illnesses in the community. Along with this type of work comes crisis intervention which Allison found to be exciting and challenging. This landed her as the clinical director of psychiatric services in local emergency rooms. Following this, she then was appointed to oversee a sixteen bed crisis unit delivering individual counseling, substance abuse groups and intake assessments. Along with crisis work, she has enjoyed incorporating all of her experiences into her practice as an individual therapist.

A Bit About Therapy
At Inner Peace Counseling, LLC, I implement effective psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding among patients and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the patient and therapist alike. But in the end, making small changes in self-defeating behavior and in feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results. At Inner Peace Counseling we will develop personalized changes to promote happiness and achieve lifelong goals.
